Marlboro Country Club originally opened in 1939 with 9 holes designed by course architect, Arthur Hamm, a native of Scotland and an associate of Donald Ross. In 1998, the course added 9 additional holes. In 2023 Marlboro County Government purchased the property from the Grice Family that had been running it since the mid 2000’s and rebranded it as the Marlboro County Golf & Recreation Complex. Currently it is being run by the Parks, Recreation and Amusement division of the County.
